　　盖布丽（安琪拉·琼斯 Angela Jones 饰）的童年里有一段非常可怕的经历，年幼的她曾经在凶杀现场亲眼目睹死尸。这一段奇异的人生经历让盖布丽开始对尸体和死亡产生了好奇之心，这股子好奇随着她年龄的增大越发强烈起来，盖布丽甚至会特意的收藏报纸上的谋杀新闻做成剪报册，时时翻阅温习。　　迈阿密接连发生凶杀案，被害者均是养尊处优的阔太太，而且无不身首异处。这起连环杀人案件很快就吸引了盖布丽的注意，为了能够更加接近命案现场，盖布丽来到了一间专门清理命案现场的保洁公司应聘成为了员工，并且在机缘巧合之下同连环杀人犯（威廉·鲍德温 William Baldwin 饰）有了一面之缘。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
